3:44 pm - Special Guest Coach

freeze_disease

We are very pleased to announce a special guest coach for our game,
Mr. Hockey® himself: Gordie Howe!!!

Gordie Howe made his NHL debut in 1946 at the age of 18 playing right wing for the Detroit Red Wings. He led Detroit to four Stanley Cups and to first place in regular season play for seven consecutive years (1948-9 to 1955-6), a feat never equaled in NHL History. He is the only person in hockey history to compete in 5 different decades at the professional level. At the time of his retirement Mr. Hockey's professional totals, including playoffs, for the NHL and WHA combined, were first. He finished with 2421 games played, 1,071 goals, 1,518 assists, and 2,589 points.

We are very pleased to welcome Gordie to our event!

Tickets can be obtained via the Freeze web site at http://www.freezethedisease.org/tickets.htm or directly via AEG's web site at http://www.aegtickets.com/default.aspx?c=OfferDetails&eid=589

11:26 pm - CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES!!!

mightyducks
Well, I must say, when people say that good things come to those who wait, they must have be discussing the 2003-2004 NHL season for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

Although I would have chosen not to wait 6 games into the season to celebrate the Ducks first win, I can't remember when I was more pleased to hear the Ducks win a game. However, I must say that when they swept the Red Wings during last season's playoffs, I was overjoyed.

So, it's onword and upword from here. Who knows? Maybe the Ducks will start a 5 game winning streak to battle their horrible start? Hey, one can hope, can't they???

8:31 pm - 0-5 - After 5 games???

mightyducks
What the hell is going on with the Ducks???

0-5 after the first 5 games of the season???

Am I the only one who seems a little surprised/disappointed/confused by this entire track this season?

I didn't think it would be possible to surpass my disappointment that I felt when the Ducks lost their league opener against the Red Wings back in Oct. 1993, but this start of the season is pretty much doing it. I can't believe that they've gone from game 7 in the Cup finals last season to THIS just a few months later.

Could Kariya have made THIS much of an impact???

WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?

Anybody have answers????

xxcerealxx
i just figured i would also add that it sucks that the Ducks have only scored 2 goals in 4 games.. poor Federov hasnt even scored his first goal in a ducks uniform.. there is still hope for the ducks yet.. at least this Sunday they play the Bruins who are a lot more experienced BUT the Ducks will wear their third jersey which looks nice and i think they will win it.. just as a guess i see Anaheim comming off on top 2-1. Wanna throw in a guess?

12:21 am - New Mighty Ducks Website

mightyducks
The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim have updated the look of their website (www.mightyducks.com)!

I, for one, am a huge fan of the new look, and I hope that they keep it this way for a while. It's good to see that the team cares about their on-line presence!
